The Religious Freedom National Scenic Byway
Along this Byway you will discover the story of the radical idea of religious toleration, and the attempt to separate church from state, was put into law for the very first time in the Western World. This toleration was initially meant only for different divisions within Christianity, but became the foundation for the First Amendment to the Constitution guaranteeing everyone living in the United States the right to believe as they wish.
